Runescape F2p Money Through Steel Bars

Make lots of F2P Runescape money, and get tons of smithing experience too.

Many people playing Runescape F2P struggle to make money when it in fact is not that hard. The method I'm about to teach you requires no combat skills, and the smithing requirement, level 30, can be quickly reached. The method I am speaking of is smelting iron and coal into steel bars.

Step 1
Getting level 30 smithing is needed to smelt steel bars. To get 29 smithing, just finish the Free-to-play quest, "The Knight's Sword". You can search up "The Knight's Sword Runescape guide" on a search engine such as google, to find a guide for the quest. After that, you need only smelt 47 silver, 103 bronze, or 52 iron to get to level 30 smithing. Congratulations on getting 30 smithing!

Step 2
The second step is getting the resources. You have a choice, cough up 450k from other sources, to buy 1000 iron and 2000 coal, you can mine it, or simply do a combination. You could also choose to do a smaller increment such as 500 iron and 1000 coal for 225k or possibly only 100 iron and 200 coal for 45k. Your best bet is going higher, because with 100 iron and 200 coal, you make a profit of 17.5k, but on 1000 iron and 2000 coal you earn 175k.

Step 3

Step 3 is smelting, and the place you're going to want to smelt if you're free-to-play is in Al-Kharid. It's the big desert to the east of Lumbridge, and south of Varrock. To get there from Lumbridge you need 15 gp for the gate if you haven't finished the quest "Prince Ali Rescue". Of course, you could go north a bit and go the free way, but that takes longer. Once you are in Al Kharid, go to the bank, press withdraw x iron, type in 9, then select withdraw all coal. Go up north a bit to the furnace and right click on the furnace then right click on steel and press "smelt 10".

Step 4
Step 4 is the easiest of all, when you have smelted all the steel, go to the Grand Exchange in Varrock, and sell the bars for 625 each! You make a profit of 175 gp from each bar.

Another bonus is that smelting coal gives tons of experience. If you smelt 1000 bars that's 17500 smithing experience! After the first 1000 steel bars you'll have level 38 smithing. That's 8 levels! Another 1000 bars and you'll have level 42 smithing. One more thing, if the price aren't up to date, please just post, I'll check them every once in a while, but I don't want to check every two days.
